About
Dr. Quincy Johnson joins the International Association of Strength & Conditioning (IASC) Board of Directors in 2023. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Kinesiology & Sport Sciences at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He received his doctoral and master’s degrees in Health & Human Performance from Oklahoma State University. His current efforts continue to reflect his commitment to excellence and diversity through educating and mentoring undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate strength and conditioning professionals.

Experience
Dr. Quincy Johnson begins his 1st year at the University of Nebraska at Kearney as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Sport Sciences. Dr. Johnson also currently serves as the Director of Loper Performance.
From 2019 to current, Johnson has worked with athletes of all ages and abilities. Specifically, he has worked within the high school, NCAA Division I and II, professional (MLB, MLS, NFL, NBA), and Olympic-level (USMNT) sports performance settings. His performance system consists of enhancing athletic readiness, potential, and performance through movement, strength, power, and speed development.
Johnson holds certifications for NSCA-CSCS*D (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with Distinction), NSCA-CPT*D (Certified Personal Trainer with Distinction), USAW-1, FMS Lv1 (Functional Movement Screen), ISPAS-2 (International Society of Performance Analysis of Sport).
Additionally, Dr. Johnson’s interests focus on performance science, strength and conditioning, load monitoring, and the long-term development of youth and professional athletes. He has several publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work at professional venues such as the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Annual Meetings, the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) National Conference, and the World Scientific Congress on Golf (WSCG).
