IASC Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach (IASC-SCC1)
Course Description
The IASC Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach (SCC1) course will be presented over two or three days (5 hours online or face-to-face theory and two days practical). The coaches will learn basic knowledge theoretically and practically. As an IASC Level 1 Strength and Conditioning coach, you’ll learn how to demonstrate knowledge, competency, and skill development in each of our curricular areas.
Prerequisites:
Participants must be 18 years of age and above.

Module 1: IASC Philosophy and Training System
Module 2: Warm-Up and Cool Down
Module 3: Power Training
Module 4: The Theory Behind Sprint Training for Multiple Sport Athletes
Module 5: Core Training
Module 6: Developing Strength: From Skill to Capacity Training
Part two: Practical
Module 7: Demonstrate Practical Warm-up
Module 8: Explain and Demonstrate Plyometric Training
Module 9: Explain and Demonstrate Speed Training
Module 10: Explain and Demonstrate Resistance Training and Technique
Module 11: Explain and Demonstrate Core Training
Module 12: Explain and Demonstrate Practical Cool-down
Assessment:
Applicants must pass two assessments assessing their knowledge, skills, and abilities in academic and practical foundations.
- Assessment one: Complete the IASC Level 1 Course Quizzes. A score of 70% or better on the final examination is needed to pass the test.
- Assessment two: Practical Exam: Applicants must show their ability to perform exercises.
- The instructor will select the three practical assessments and each participant has 15 minutes to finish the practical exam.
- If you are a student with a disability, you should explain the exercise when your athlete/partner is doing the exercises.

- All assignments must be completed by the assignment’s due date and time. Late or missing discussion assignments will affect the applicant’s grade.
- We require a 70% or better score to pass.
- Certification will be given only to those candidates who attend the entire course and complete the course requirements.
