What is Accreditation?
Accreditation is the independent, third-party evaluation of a conformity assessment body against recognised standards, conveying a formal demonstration of its impartiality and competence to carry out specific conformity assessment tasks.
To obtain the International Association of Strength and Conditioning (IASC) accreditation, the program or institution must demonstrate that it meets the requirements. IASC accreditation experts team undergo rigorous review before accreditation is granted and are evaluated regularly to insure continued compliance with standards and policies that demonstrate the quality of the institutional or individual programs.
Why is Accreditation Important?
The importance of accreditation aims to ensure accountability of associations, organizations, companies, and certification programs which boosts public trust and confidence. When an institution or program is properly accredited, you are able to gauge its overall quality without having to conduct a detailed analysis on your own.
Steps of the IASC Accreditation Process
- Submit Application. Institutions need to send us initial information about their company/association. Each program requires individual applications. The application must include the following information:
Part one: Institution Information
Part two: Management and Administrative Operations information
Part three: Educational Administration and Experts Qualifications ( at least three Lecturer)
Part four: Courses contents
Part five: Assessment format and details
2. Application Review Once a formal letter has been submitted to us, accreditation expert members conduct an intensive review of the prepared materials, the written report, and the general workings of the organization, company, or institution seeking accreditation status. If it meets our required standards, we can then move on to the next step in the process and ask the institution to provide us with more information related to the course, gym, team members, assessment format, website, or any other online platform used by them. If it does not, we may inform the institution why they are unlikely to gain accreditation at this point, and then provide advice and guidance on ways they can improve or rectify the problems we find.
3. Meeting With the Institution After the all information is collected by us and the institution achieves our minimum requirement, we ask for a face-to-face or online meeting.
4. Accreditation Decision Is Reached After the previous steps are completed, the accreditation organization calls upon its commitment to review the collected information and affirm or deny accreditation status for the organization or institution under scrutiny. IASC Accreditation is for five years.
